Default A previous post?

In a previous post a member asked me what potting mix I use?

So I gave a comprehensive answer which was as accurate as I could be to what I am using & getting great results.

A short while later I receive an email with the content of my answer with no explanation & no name attached, which obviously implied that it is n ot ok to post such detailed information?

Why is this? as the post is no longer on this forum, I conclude that the moderator or one of the seniour memebers is trying to keep the forum as a chat site not a source of information. .

IF you delete this post? then delete my account as I have no interest on supporting an insecure chat site. allan .................

Is it your post in this thread? http://www.orchidboard.com/community...d.php?p=686759 (2nd page)

There is certainly no objection to sharing how we grow. I have no idea why you got an email ... perhaps a member meant to ask you something about your post, and it was accidentally sent sans their question?

Sonya thank you for your reply.

The email I received was deliberatly sent to intimidate me so that I would not reply?

The question was asked by LovePhals & this is the email I received with no subject line & no name;

"Vandas get potted in same mix I use for all my orchids i.e.

1. Composted pine bark 10 to 20mm size (1/2" to 1" size pieces) 60 to 70% of mix.
2. 10% course River sand .
3. Polystyrene (course granules, from recycled white goods packing).

Plants that like good aeration I put more polystyrene & plants like slipper orchids I use less polystyrene.

I feed with a '8 to 9 month' slow release fertiliser called Osmocote "Exact" which has trace elements in it. As I am too lazy to liquid feed my plants .
"

Maybe Lovephals knows something? ............

Allan - I'm sending you a private message, and will close this thread, if you have no objection to that ?

I would just add that no moderator would have done this to intimidate you, that's just not the way we work here.
