Smile I HAVE GROWTH!!!

When I joined the Orchid Board in mid-February, one of my stated goals was to get any of my orchids to show signs of growth.

Hazzah!!! I have growth! Since repotting a much abused Phalanopsis in new medium and using the skewer method and the relative weight method, to maintain proper moisture AND setting up an "orchid room" where I have better control over light and temperature (without distressing my beloved) I have new root growth.

AND...the NoID Mini Cattleya that I purchased late last year just a few days before it dropped its bloom is showing some growth. I honestly don't know what it is, but I am enjoying watching it develop!

I am so happy.

My huge thanks to all the members of the board who have advised and offered support and encouragement.

Cheers!

It is a new pseudo bulb. If given good care it could flower for you!! Congrats. I have learned that root growth is almost more exciting than leaves.

Catts put out at least one new p-bulb per growing season. The larger the plant the more P-bulbs. I have 4 new bulbs going on my large Pink Empiress.

Congrats on the rest. I am so glad I sought advice last year on Orchid Boards. I've lost a few, but I am becoming a much better orchid grower.
