Folded phal leaf? Female
Default Folded phal leaf?

I have this mini phal which had gone through a bit of neglect with underwatering during winter.

As the weather got warmer, I have pampered it with some seaweed extract and fertiliser so it's growing heaps of new roots (both in pots and air roots) and start to spike for me!

Although I just noticed that the new leaf that it's growing seems "folded" like it's not opening up or just "half leaf" - I tried splitting it gently with my finger but couldn't seem to find the gap. Picture probably explains better...

Is this something to be worried about?

The gap should be close to the bottom. I've had a few plants that were under watered did that and have always been successful in prying the leaves open. If you leave it as is and it never opens the next new leaf may have a problem getting up and out.
