Default Can someone identify this orchid for me?

I've had this orchid for about 5 years now. A friend gave it to me with no info. It is a very slow grower, but has always stayed nice and green and well rooted, but it has never bloomed for me. (figured I might have an easier time identifying it once it bloomed) I fertilize it just like my other orchids. I've never been able to identify it with my orchid books or pics online.

I'm not sure but I think it could be a reed-stem epidendrum and they need a lot of light, even some direct sunlight, to flower.

I am thinking Epidendrum, bright light, wet but not soaking good draining media (ex. better gro dendrobium mix) fertilize weekly weakly. How long has it been since you repotted it as well? I would place it in a very holey pot that either you make or maybe a net pot.

I will say it looks a lot like a bigger version of either my stamforme or my anttenatum (spelling may be off on either of those btw.)

But I would definitely look into re potting it though.

Looks like it has some salt build up on the pot....

I re potted it about 6 months ago....could probably use it again. I will try moving it. It's in a sunny spot of the screened porch, but that is filtered. I'll move it outside and give it a try! Thanks ladies! Anxious to see what beautiful blooms may appear! : )

For real I would suggest gradually moving it towards full sun otherwise it will get sunburned.

Sorry fingers move faster than brain, lol. For real meaning can't wait to bloom. Do you use a fertilizer for it each week as well?

I have found that mine really like the fertilizers.

I usually fertilize every other week...and yes...I'll move it gradually. Especially in this lovely Florida sun!
