[QUOTE=Silje;581875]Do you really mean you only need to water your rescued phals once per month?

How long have they've been in the sand? This certainly sounds...different...than what 's normally prescribed.[COLOR="Silver"]

It's not really sand. It says sand on the packaging. It's more like pea gravel. But it's not. It is weird stuff.

I only have one rescue in the stuff and it seems happy. I've tried sphag and bag and a mix of sphag and orchid mix on this one and it wasn't happy. So I tried the corse natural and now it seems happy. Two new root and one root growing longer.

I bought it at lowes it's says on the tag course neutral sand. It has a pinkish color to it. Right now I have it in a clear plastic orchid pot and its sitting on a south facing window.

Forgot to add. I do spray the leaves once or twice a day with a fine mist and a little super thrive. Then at night I wipe the leaves with a damp rag.

Yep. I love the stuff. I use it on every plant not just orchids. You can get it at lowes. 4oz bottle it $11 and I use only a 1/8th of a teaspoon in my 800 mL spray bottle.
