Now I have managed to take photos of my Yu Pin Pearl using the webcamera. I am not not at all skilled at photography so I do not know how to improve on the quality of the photos.

Reason: Bad photo
My dear daughter bought it for me for Father's Day, 11 November. It has 4 spikes and had 12 flowers, now 1 has dropped off. It is so beautiful and got me interested in getting more orchids so I am getting another phaleonopsis as a Christmas present from my daughter. It is too cold to buy it now as the flowers and buds might drop off after they had been exposed to several degrees below zero centigrade on the way from the shop.
Oops! I looked at the pictures again, and I see 4 spikes now.
What a good daughter you have!
Yeah, I see so many beautiful phals at stores in this cold season. I almost always get bud blast when I buy them in the winter. Wrap up with a few layers of plastic bags if you can and just run (or drive) home. This sometimes helped me.
Even if it's freezing cold, when I see something I really like, I just go for it, but I make sure I bundle it up good.
Last night I was given a digital camera so here are some much better close-up pictures of my Phaleonopsis. One is a beautiful pale lemon colour when it first opens and then gets whiter unfortunately. Another is all white. Then there is my Yu Pin Pearl. I hope you agree that the pictures are much truer to life.
