Maybe make your bedroom off limits for the cat. I did that with my bedroom where I have my orchids under lights. He doesn't touch the actual plants but he love the bark, sphagnum, and other media that they're in. I keep the door shut and him out even if I'm in there and even if I'll only be gone for a few seconds. He likes to dig in it and chew it. One time he even used my cactus pot as a littler box and made a huge mess. I'm also very worried what he'll do when my Paph. sanderianum is in bloom.
