Default Bulbophyllum problem

My bulbophyllum echinolabum continues to produce fat pseudo bulbs. It looks very healthy but is reluctant to flower. I want to get a whiff of it! Why won't it produce flowers? I would be grateful for suggestions.

Thanks Barry C

Barry, I could be wrong but these bloom in the winter around x-mas time and grows flowers vertically in shades of yellow, orange, and rust-red on sequential blooming stems!

Cheryl,

Thanks. I think not. They are supposed to produce pendulous blooms which hang down from an infloresence produced from the base of the pseudobulb. Mine are producing very plumd bulbs one after the other but no sign of flowers.

Thanks for your interest. Barry C

What, how often, and at what concentration are you feeding it?

Hello Ray,

I feed it sparingly; say once a month with diluted orchid general fertiliser. It is very healthy with bright firm foliage and produces large pseudobulbs but no sign of flowers.

A little more specific information will help. What formulation fert are you using? 20-20-20? What is dilute? 1 tsp/gal, 1/2 tsp /gal?

Non of my Bulbs have bloomed for me either. Specifically my Bulbophyllum deareri. I have had it for
over a year and it has produced 3 plump pbulbs for me as well. A fourth is now on its way. I also fertilize with 20-20-20 once a month. 1/2 tsp. per gallon
