Default Eria carinata

Hello all,

I just received my Eria carinata from Oak Hill Gardens. . .and it has a bud in sheath! Is that the correct term?

I have never even seen one of these orchids and so was surprised when I saw a bud shadow THROUGH the backlit "sheath". It's totally enclosed, sort of sandwiched inside.

OMG, was I thrilled! I wasn't expecting to receive a plant that was ready to bloom!

Can anyone tell what genus it is? Is it Eria? And any cultural details you might know would be greatly appreciated.

I'll post pictures tomorrow. . .cause I know you've gotta see em.
