After seeing Buds B.nodosa flowering, I decided to give it another try. I ordered one on Sat. and it was at my door on Wed. That was the easy part.
The tough part is, to keep #2 from following #1 to orchid heaven. It looks to be a very healthy plant and maybe, with everyones help here, I can keep it alive.
After putting my B.nodosa next to the kitchen window (south), I went to the grocery store. My orchid radar lead me straight to a cart filled with Phals. Oooh, there was this pale yellow one, buttery yellow lip with white and there was also some red.
I was strong! I walked away! I selected a few items, all the while hearing the sirens song, drawing me back to the cart. I threw caution to the wind, ran across the store, snatched her up, before anyone else could get their grubby hands on her and cradled her in my arms, she was mine. We left the store together, we were meant for each other....and they lived happily ever after.
