Default moving phals outside

I am thinking of moving my phals outside on to my deck. It does have a roof, and they would get only morning sun. But, my worry is the heat. they have been in the air conditioning til now and it is usually about 77 degrees in here. Is it too big a change for them now that it is so hot here now? I did put my catts out early and they are loving it.

I just took mine out this past weekend. So far so good. It was 100 here yesterday. I think phals are one that like it warm anyway.

Hard to say but the more gradual or less dramatic the move the better. I find my phals detest being moved outdoors during the summer but only because our weather can be austere at times, with low humidity and wind and the ever present chance of hail in the summer so mine stay indoors. If its very hot, please take care to make sure they have enough water to stay hydrated. And I'd advise against any direct sun, morning or otherwise, for phals grown indoors and moved outside. They will struggle with that for sure.

Phals love east coast summer heat! I used to grow them in my back yard in complete shade under a gigantic oak tree in Washington DC. Needless to mention DC summers are 100% Humdity 90+ Degrees most of the time. The plants would send out numerous roots and grow two or more large leaves over the summer.
I highly recommend moving yours outside in NJ. Just be very careful about the sun. No sun better than sun is my experience. Indirect sunlight would suit them just fine.
