Default Yellowing Dendrobium (NOID) New Growth?

I got this Dendrobium NoId about 3 months ago. About one week after I bought it all of the flower fell off. After that the leaves started turning yellow and falling off as well (I included a pic of when I first bought it and what it looks like now). However, while the leaves have been falling there are 4 new canes growing. On the one hand I thought I wasn't giving it what it needs because the leaves were falling... but now I might be doing something rights because there is a lot of new growth. Could you guys tell me what you think about this? I'm a bit confused... My orchid is giving me mixed signals!

It looks like you have a nobile Dendrobium and they drop their leaves naturally. They also require a winter rest. Here is a link to their culture requirements. Dendrobium Nobile Hybrids Orchid Care - Carter and Holmes Orchids Culture Good luck!

I think your plant looks very healthy and those new growths look really good.
Good info from Carter and Holmes.
Keep us posted.

Definitely a nobile type, but seems odd to drop foliage now. New growth is a good thing. I'd watch that the new growth continues well, and that the old canes look well despite the foliage drop.

I agree with WhiteRabbit. It seems the wrong time for leaf drop especially when flowering. My nobile still has the leaves after flowering this year. New growth is good though so just keep an eye on the new growths and make sue they continue well.
