Default It's open (dances around doing the happy dance).....

I've waited what seems like a very long time (about three months) for this to open. This morning I went out and looked at my GH and this was staring down at me. My neighbors came out wondering what madman was in their midst. This is C. Resplendens. Rescue of course. The first few blooms in the last couple years came out all twisted up and had what looked to be burnt edges and holes in the petals. I kept at it and this is the first good set of flowers. Some fungal or bacterial disease but has flourished the last year. Anyway I just love these catts. This, schilleriana, peckhaviensis, aclandia, ect. I have a bunch. I am so happy!!!!

Thanks Sonya. It isn't that it is beautiul (it is), or that the flower count is high (it is), but that considering the condition it was in when I got it, I am thrilled it flowered like this at all. It was so full of fungus or baterial rot that I doubted it would ever get to this stage. I almost threw it away (GASP!!!). But here it is. Now we'll see if it stays this way. It has some new buds peeking out so fingers crossed.
