Question Longest Bloom Time of an Orchid?

In your experience:
  1. What genus/species has the longest bloom time
  2. What kind of soil conditions, fertilizing parameters, and lighting are required to improve blooms?

Pics would be good too!

My best phal bloomed for about 3 months once, I think it might have lasted longer if I didn't bring it indoors in a room with a north-facing window:

Your phal is spectacular! Good growing.
Dtps. Purple Martin 'Champion' is a sequential bloomer so the spike keeps growing and producing new flowers. It bloomed for 8 months straight last year.

Vascostylis Pine Rivers 'Fushia Delght' (the plant in the center of the photo) sends up new spikes before the old ones fade. It was in bloom for 7 straight months last year.

Those are spectacular plants!
I have a sequential Phal hybrid that put out blooms for 3 years straight on the same spikes (including several side spikes), and also grew new ones at the same time. It just took a 6 month break, and now it's in bloom again.

Ok, Camille, I can't compete with that. What's the name of your phal?

I have only the tradename, Phal Pink Panther. It looks nothing like the Phal registered under that name with KEW/RHS. Did I mention that it's also a keiki making machine? lol

I have a little noid phal that blooms for about 3 or 4 months, and once the blooms have fallen it starts up again on the same spike(s). The spikes were accidentally broken at one point, and then it just put out another. Right now it has one bloom open and a few buds growing. And it has a pretty strong fragrance of fruity/floral/chemical. Here's an old pic:

And one from today, this bloom is one of the more mutated. They usually tend to be smaller speckles with more distinct yellow background, and less lip coloring on the lower sepals.
