Fertilizer suggestions
I'm out of my usual orchid fertilizer (schultz's) and am open to suggestions. What are you using and what have been your results? I will be putting in superthrive or kln if that matters. So come on people, spill your fertilizer secrets.....

I use Growmore urea free 20-10-10 at 1/8th of a teaspoon per gallon with nearly every watering and have had good results.

There are so many variables to this question I think. I've been working on this as well and I think you have to start with a clean slate. First, you have consistant water quality, and then it's on to fert options. In other words, idk.

Agreeing with the comment above on other variables, but that said... I use a lowK MSU fert from Ray, at 1/4 teaspoon per Fallon with each watering. I also add in a root growth supplement (started with KLN but switched to Kelpak seaweed) during active growing season every other watering. I flush with plain water once ever month or two.

Well, just recently started using Grow More 20-10-20 @ 1/2 tsp / gallon
Have previously used Grow More Bromeliad fert at same dilution with good results
Have also used and liked Gubler's

I use MSU for well water and add a little Pro Tekt and KLN. I get the MSU from First Ray's but when it is gone I might switch to his Solo product and see how that works. I really like what I'm using now, it seems to work well.

I use Kow Chit soup.
We pick up 5 or so dried patties in the field next door and put it in a 35 gallon drum.Cover it. Stir daily for +-/ 2 weeks until there is no more odor, put it in the backpack sprayer and hit them once a week. These are all mounted on trees so your mileage may vary.
I imagine one pie in a 5 gallon bucket and then dilute by 50% would be fine. I use it on everything. Not just orchids.

Oh wow so many ideas! It really is hard to choose. I Lol'd at the chow kit! I don't have any cows nearby so that one is out, but the others are doable. Thanks for all the ideas.

I just use balanced fertilizer 20-20-20 at quarter strength every 2-3 weeks. But that's just because I never did any research on ferts yet. Would be also interested to see what others are using and what works the best.
Thanks.
