There is a C. Joan Holloway (Edithiae x Belle Jones), registered by Patterson in 1952. Patterson was the originator of Barbara Billingsley also.
Apparently this is an unregistered hybrid.

Why would you pick bones with RHS? Seems a little out of the ordinary. I'm glad James had the right story and corrected the situation quickly. Good job James.

James the bloom sounds gorgeous. I have Bow Bells and its offspring Bob Betts and they are both beautiful.

Bud why the hostility towards the RHS? Have you tried to register a new hybrid and run into trouble? I've registered three so far and they were very easy to deal with and very prompt in acknowledging my request.

The RHS doesn't deal with Latinized names that job belongs to Kew with new species. Now all they do is name it after the person who discovered it and usually add an AE or II for the name. Some very very early hybrids were given Latinized names but they stopped that early 1900's? I have a Phal primary hybrid with a Latinized name but sitting here, I can't remember what it is

Hi. I don't have a beef with the RHS. Please re-read the post. I was merely relating what I had learned about Gen. Patton. I have always wanted a c. Bow Bells and someday will acquire one. Thanks for the post.

If you will reread my post you will see I address Bud about his RHS beef. He appears to be confusing two agencies and the duties each have.

Sorry Brooke (as James stands meekly) I read Bud's name as "but". Yes I am blind as a bat. My appologies.
