You may have to wait a month or more for new growth, depending on its growth cycle, but as long as the pseudobulb is okay, your orchid can recover. I agree that setting it on a counter for evaluation and contacting the vendor is the best route right now. Good luck,

I agree that cattleyas are tougher orchids than vandas. Catts can really take some abuse. Zoi2's idea of leaving it out on the counter might be good. I recently had a catt. with no roots. I set it in a tall pot with no medium but in a humid area. I forgot about it but about six weeks later I looked and three new roots were starting. I potted it about a week ago. Good luck with your plant.

Vandas are very tenacious plants...but they dont do well with the cold. The leaves might be frozen but the roots and crown will survive because the outer layer root will shrink and harden and coat the inner root from the cold. Just follow the vanda culture and a regular watering regimen. humidify it and lots of bright shaded light...80F in the day and 65F at night...

Yes and he said hed send me another.Good seller .:bowing so far I see no mushy day 2 today .shaded it with envelope over the tara cotta pot its sittin inside in its tiny plastic pot shown in pic. after i soaked it in water for a min. and spraid it and put a small bit of orchid food in water in a cap an put in a tad.Hope it survifes.Hate to see anything die :decoratetree: Merry Christmas Everyone
