Hi there.

Can any of you tell me more about kiki paste? Does it work well and where do you get it? Thanks.

I have not used the past but I have used a liquid form of the hormones. It is not as user friendly because I have to dilute it with water but I still have had good results from it. If you Google Keiki Grow Plus you will find many places that sell it or if you want the liquid you can look for Keikipro

I have used it on a Phal and did get some. And I have used it to wake up dormant eyes on a Catts and Oncidium. But most of the time I use it to break seed dormancy for non orchids such as Cyclamen, they just grow so much faster that way. And I also like to spray random plants with it just to see what happens.

I forgot to mention that I've used it on several phals; one has 5 keikis on it, another produced spikes, another produced both and looks like it's dying, etc, etc.

I use keiki paste and I have mixed results and it's because of the different phals and the genetic strength they have. I have some plants that have so many keikis you can't tell it's a spike any more and then other times I'm lucky if I get one...it really depends on the plants genetics.

Got mine off amazon via some Canadian company that is the original manufacturer.

I have a question about kiki paste. If I put it on a stem node but there are still flowers in bloom above the node, will this shorten the lifespan of the flowers in bloom? I just did this to a mini Mark Holm and I am wondering if I should have waited until the flowers had completely dropped.

I have never used keiki past but I don't think it will shorten the lifespan of your blooms, as long as the plant is healthy.
