There are a thousand ways to give similar advice, but here's how I would put it.
The Phal bark mix will be fine for your Paph, but you might consider adding in a little of the sphagnum that it comes in to make the mix hold a little more moisture. Then if the Phal and the Paph are in similar size pots you can probably water them at the same time.
Unless you are planning to use semi-hydro culture as Pedi seems to be, never let the Paph sit in water for more than a few hours, and as soon as it is dry at the surface you can water again. Most Paphs are fine growing a little shadier than Phals. It is possible to grow them brighter but be cautious and increase the light level gradually and watch for leaf burn.
