Default Phals planted together

Hello!

Phals of the same species can be planted together in a basket?

Do they like company or they compete and kill each other?

Though I have never tried this, and am no expert, I don't think that they will kill each other. It might actually make a nice display.

I haven't tried this with Phals but I know that banana plants compete when planted too close.

I have several baskets planted with multiple phals. When it works, it works great. A beautiful full display. When it doesn't work, it looks even sadder than a single sad plant.

Using identical plants so their bloom is in synch is the best way.

Remember that you will use a larger pot or basket, so it will stay wet longer, and when you have to repot, they will be intertwined.

I have two the same Phals potted together - they came that way, and didn't seem to want to come apart when I repotted, so I left them together - both are doing great, and I ended up with a total of 6 spikes blooming at the same time
