I originally used a damp folded paper towel in a ziplock. When I started noticing mold, I decided to open up the ziplock for about 10 minutes in the morning and then 10 minutes in the evening to air it out to alleviate some of the mold issue. That diminished the mold and whenever I did see a little mold creep up, I just rinsed it out in warm water and put it back in the bag. Within a week, a tiny nub showed.

I posted and asked how long I would need to wait until I could pot it up. When people said about 4" worth of roots (such as 1 x 4" root, 2 x 2" roots, etc.), I decided that I wanted to find another method than the ziplock, so I wouldn't have to check for mold all the time.

I bought mini tupperware, filled the bottom with 1 layer of pre-soaked, cleaned PrimeAgra. I soaked the cane in rooting hormone solution for a few minutes and then poured a little of the solution into the container so there was enough to keep the PrimeAgra wet and placed the cane on top. I also made 2 holes in tupperware - same as in semi-hydroponics so it would have an opportunity to get fresh air while maintaining high humidity. I kept it on a heating mat to encourage growth and also introduce it to a little more indirect light.
