Confused Ochids Male
Default Confused Ochids

I have recently got interested with orchids and I started the summer with two Phals. and one small cattleya. Now I have almost 40 orchids of all kinds that were either given to me or I bought. I recently decided to start growing under lights and I think I tricked them into thinking it was growing season, but now some of my Phals. and a few dendrobiums are starting to spike. Some of the Phals. have are growing leaves and the dendrobiums are growing new roots. Will they still flower?

Congrats on the spikes, and yes, normally they will bloom. If the plant wasn't healthy and strong enough it wouldn't be doing both.
You might not have tricked them into doing anything, fall is the season for spike induction for many phals (which is triggered by temperature differences, and not light, unless there wasn't enough light to begin with). Phals can grow leaves all year round in optimal conditions, but for most people without lights fall-winter is dimmer and cooler, so new growth is less frequent at that time of year. Looks like you have happy plants then
