Default Hey Marty....great site idea!

Just wanted to drop by and say hello. I found the link from over at Dendroboard.

I'm hoping that OB will start to have the hussle and bussle that DB has =)

I would post something but I don't know anything about orchids (but I really want to learn)

Thanks Marty!

Default yahoo groups

It seems like we need more people, especially advanced people. How about advertising at Orchid groups. I recently joined up on one at yahoo groups. Here is the link:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/orchids/

They got great pics, and perhaps many would be willing to post here.

Things will pick up I'm sure of it. OrchidBoard has only been up for a few days and it's already quite active. Once I find more time, I'll add some eye candy to the site and add few more options.

In the mean time I'd appreciate if you could tell your orchid friends about this site. Hopefully it will become a buzzing community.

Anyone else for a "bromeliad section", or should we keep this more less orchids?

Since there is quite a few terrarium/vivarium/palludarium people perhaps I should add "terrarium" category. I know there is a lot of orchids dying in planted vivariums. Mostly due to the very high humidity and misting...most of the ppl (myself included) just don't know which orchids can tollerate such conditions.

sounds good to me! petflytrap is carnivorous plants and has sub sections for various things like vivs, herps, orchids, broms and whatnot. makes things kinda interresting i think.

Default Marty-like your site

Thanks for a great site, Marty. I have just refered you to all my newcomers in the Houston Orchid Society. I am the newcomer chairman for our orchid society and I feel everyone will benefit from this.

I will be be going out of town for a week to the beach. I look forward to returning soon?
