Default dendronium bigibbum kiki

hi everyone , i have unknown bigibbum crosses in my growing case. One has just shot a kiki from one of the older growths. Its about 2 inches tall at the moment with 3 or 4 roots emerging. There are no new shoots coming from the base of the plant.
Do i take this new growth off and replant or should i leave it on there?

You should wait until those roots get bigger. About an insh and a half would be ok two inches would be even better.

I would wait until those roots are at least 2 inches long (5cms) before you take it off with a sterilized blade.

It's a natural occurence, dendrobium throw lots of keiki's in my experience. Just don't take them off too soon or they won't survive.

Where abouts in Oz are you?
