Vanda! Vanda! Vanda! I want to buy one...
Hi.....I am getting more anxious to buy a Vanda. But, I have no clue where to buy one and which species I should buy. This will be my first Vanda. So, please recommend me one for a beginner.  . |

If you want fragrance Rhynchovanda Colmarie is wonderful, lots of blooms, deep grape wine color, vandas like lots of light and lots of water.

I nkow the perfect place for you to purchase a vanda. It might be a bit of a travel but it is worth it. Ritter Orchids is located in Kissimmee Florida and they have a humongous selection of vandas. They are literally everywhere you look. I recommend that you visit them. When i bought my vanda the lady even gave me 4 free orchids. I got a baby vanda, phal keiki, and 2 dendrobium babies. As far as the type of vanda, i have no clue. Either Tom or his wife will be able to help you with that.

Also another vandaceous I whould suggest is Neostylis Lou Sneary. It is a smaller grower and great for a windosill. While my 'Kultana' was young I would get 1 or 2 spikes a year. After it matured it has been in almost constant bloom for a least a couple of years. Plus temps in the upper 30s does not bother it one bit.

I love my Ascda. Su Fun Beauty! Seems to be an easy grower, and small enough for a windowsill in winter - it's currently in a 5" pot  |
