Anyone here know if there's such a thing as bifoliate perci's? The reason I ask is I saw on e-bay one that I was tempted to bid but hesitated because it looks as though the plant in the picture is bifoliate and therefore made me think of it's credibility as it being a perci.

Not sure if this is allowed but the link below will show you the plant I'm refering too.

Orchid Cattleya Sp percivaliana ''Blue Knight Jewel'' on eBay.ca (item 170465878169 end time 04-Apr-10 23:19:23 EDT)

Any clarifications would be appreciated. Thanks!

Occasionally unifoliates will produce 2 leaves on a pseudobulb.

As Ted said, occasionally unifoliates will produce a bifoliate leave. However, this is more common in hybrids than in species, and in young plants than in old plants.

As per the ebay plant, it seems to be a back division. The leave do not look very very healthy, so I would be carefull...

I do not have any direct experience, but I have heard of others, including people on this forum, that have had less than perfect experiences with this seller. I have heard that some people also suspect that the "rare" species sold by this seller are actually hybrids.
