Where to Place Fan for Optimal Air Circulation?

Quick question on air circulation for the group.

I have a collection of about 12 low light orchids on a quarter-round plant terrace like the one in the picture below. Each row of the terrace has its own drip tray similar to the ones in the picture below that I've filled with river stones and water to act as humidity trays for the orchids. The setup is in the corner of my living room right next to a sunny east-facing bay window and it gets 4 or 5 hours of great early morning light.

I've recently purchased a small fan like the one in the picture below, to help with air circulation. I'm completely clueless with respect to optimal positioning of the fan. Right now, I have the fan at the base of the terrace, pointing up toward the top of the structure. As a result, a number of the orchids are in the direct wind path of the fan. Is this okay? Will it harm the orchids or the buds/flowers if they have a constant breeze on them for 12 hours a day? Will the orchids dry out faster? Is it better to have the fan under the structure pointing upward so that the plants are not in the direct breeze but still benefit from the indirect air circulation?

Any suggestions are much appreciated.
