Help. I bought my oncidum several montsh ago. It flowered once and appeared fine. One month ago it started to shrivell and i decided to re-pot. I used the wrong medium, cut off the rotting roots and re-potted.

Unfortunately now not only is it shrivelling but appears to be rotting. The pseudobulbs have yellowed and so have the leaves, and now the large bulb is yellow and brown and the leaf is turning yellow at the base. Can anyone tell me how I can save it?

If all the bulbs are doing this, then there may be nothing you can do. If there are any left that are green, you can cut off the rotting ones and the green ones may produce new, healthy growths.

Thanks, The large bulb is still green, and the roots are still good. I will try cutting back the rotten bulbs.

Should I water/fertalise or leave as is? I have not watered it as I was worried it would make it worse...

If the roots are good, I wouldn't let it dry out.
