Unhappy orchid blossoms ...

Hello guys, I have noticed that some of the maturing blossoms of my orchid are a little bruised ... Is it ok to expose blooming orchids to medium light??

I don't see the problem with exposing them to light. Injured blooms/buds don't heal so they will be scarred

Hi , Are they dark or mushy? if so might be from water sitting between the petals and not enough air circulation. If not the above might be from transport if the plants are new mechanical injury . In my case if that happens it is because i am a klutz . Gin

When conjuring up an idea about something, I always recommend starting with what happens in the plant's natural growing environment.

In nature, a plant isn't moved about, so they bloom where they grow, with the flowers exposed to the same light level.

Taking a blooming, shade-loving plant and putting it in bright sun is likely to wipe out the flowers - if not the whole plant - but other than something extreme like that, there should be no issue.
