Help....what do I do?

This is my first orchid it is a Phalaenopsis. I have something growing on one of my spikes that looks like leaves. I have attached the pictures that I took. I am hoping that someone can give me some information.

It looks like a keiki is growing there (a new baby plant). You must not do anything right now, watch it
grow and if it is a keiki, you must wait until it develops roots (about 4 inches) until you can remove it from the spike and plant it separately.
Seems you have luck with your first orchid!!! Now remember, Phals. only like good filtered light (no direct sun!) and water sparingly as the roots rot if they are too wet. Happy growing!

Lucky You! Yes, that's a keiki you've got there, soon to be a viable plant which you can then separate from the stem it's growing on. Depending on how much humidity it's receiving and the temps, will dictate how fast it will grow and how long before you can separate it, usually around 4 months, average. You can also choose to keep it on the stem indefinitely. If you want to pot this plant, wait till you've got at least 3 roots, at least 3-4 inches long, first. Other than that, enjoy watching it grow!
