Talking Paphiopedilum in bloom!

I recently purchased my first paphiopedilum at the end of May. It's a hybrid purchased from Owen's Orchids. I had the luxury of actually going to their greenhouses while on a vacation in North Carolina; breathtaking to say the least.

My new jewel:

I've been eagerly anticipating the arrival of her bloom as I did not know what she'd look like. Patience is truly a virtue and I've had tons of it! A full bloom a month and a half later! Woowoo!

Look at her, so regal:

To say the least, I am now hooked on paphs! I've already been perusing a few places looking for my next one!

I love the slippers! Beware, they are dangerously addictive!

Great job! I'm so bad at growing these guys, but they are some of the most interesting blooms. Yours is definitely a jewel.

Very Very nice. The pouch is the same color as the Granny Smith apple I had for lunch.
