Phalaenopsis with yellowing leaves!! Female
Default Phalaenopsis with yellowing leaves!!

Please help!

I have read the books and don't know what's going on with my phalaenopsis amabilis and other phal....please see photos of leaves...they live in my East facing home office room and receive light and I have a fan for circulation.

My phal amabalis has two plants in one pot and both plants had multi stems with many blooms/buds when I bought it. It has been green and well and after the blooms were finished, cut it at the noids and it started to bud again. As the photo shows, one has spikes and buds.....

The plant that has the yellowing leaves has one spike that seems to be growing from the noid.....

It is planted in orchid mix bark and I've taken care to do my best not to overwater but this strange yellowing, dimpling of the leaves....don't know what this is....!!!

HELP!!

Pots look huge. That may be it. What do the roots look like?

Orchids in pot culture must be grown potbound.

This was actually the pot it came in and I did take it out of old medium when I brought it home (3 months ago) and roots looked good then....I may pull it out and check the "yellowing plant" out.

I'm afraid to disturb the other one since it is budding....I have smaller pots to keep more potbound but don't know if it will shock it.....???

I wouldn't worry about flowers or buds right now.

Save your plant, and you'll have buds and flowers next blooming season and many seasons afterwards.

Wise words, today, small loss, future, large gains!

It is really beautiful when all the spikes bloom, like all these white butterflies!

I will try that out and see how it goes.....thanks again!
