I'm so excited. I have two NOID phals and one vanda that are blooming and are actually still alive while under my care. I attached pictures.

I have two other phals that are in spike and I can't wait to see what they look like.

the vanda though is very small. the bloom is only about 1 inch across. is this normal? i bought it as a seedling.

I brought them all inside tonight because the temps are going to drop quite a bit. I'll probably leave them inside tomorrow also.

oh I love love Love the vanda. I want one. I have a few NOIDs that I got after they bloomed and I have no idea what the flowers look like so I'll be plastering pics all over the board when they do.

Lovely chids!

The vanda you have is actually an Ascocenda so the smaller size is normal...and gorgeous!

I didn't think they would make it. I guess I underestimated by ability to grow them. Now all I need is a small greenhouse or shadehouse to expand my collection.
