Smile animal eating orchid leaves

Hi, my name is Maria and I'm new in the forum. I have been living in Central Florida for the past 4 years and in the last 2-3 weeks I've noticed something is eating the leaves of my orchids. What animal squirrel or mouse or what can be eating them?

I have the same situation and I suspect the same culprits. I haven't done anything yet, cause I didnt wanna spend the money on a BB gun/rifle. Oh and welcome to the board. Show us your pics LOL

Mi Maria, and welcome to the board. Do you have a picture you can post of the damage? The most common culprit of eaten leaves are slugs and snails. Do your leaves look like this picture? If they do, then it's slugs or snails—your local garden center should have the stuff to get rid of them.

If its not snail or slug damage...

Do you have citrus trees in, around or near your home? Does the damage occur during the day or night?

If it's daylight damage, it's probably squirrels. If it is at night and you have citrus trees around, it may well be roof rats (or some call them fruit rats).

I've had issues with both of these rodents.
