Default Need Help on how to sphag & bag

I was checking out the plants yesterday and noticed that 2 of my Catts had a root rot problem . I cut the old rotted roots out that was all of them, sprayed them with Physan 20 sprinkled them with Cinnamon. I soaked the dried sphagnum moss in a KLN solution and wraped it around the base of the plants. Now here is the question what is the proper way of the sphag & bag method? Do I put the base of the plant in a bag? or do I put the plant in a pot with the sphag as a potting medium and place a bag over the whole thing? The plants have no roots at all now (my fault because I did not repot when I got them) but you can see where roots are starting (bumps) on them. There is also new growth on both plants.
Please Help

Roland

I have a cattleya that had a bad start. I bought it at Lowe's in a bag in my early collecting before I found out much about orchids. I bought 2, and one is growing exceedingly well. This one is not, but the leaves are firm. I am trying the sphag and bag without the root stimulator (I don't have any). I hope it works

Jerry,
I would try to find some SuperThrive or some KLN and soak the plant in that for around 2 hours. That should get roots going a lot faster. My 2 catts are in the bag and I am keeping my fingers crossed.
