Has anyone purchased any orchids from ebay? Some prices are really cool there, so I was wondering if I can order few plants from there. I'm just not sure about the condition of plants...

You have to be careful about getting orchids that way. Two years ago I had gotten Ascda 50th State and it was a mericlone...and after I got it to bloom next year, found it that it wasn't what it was supposed to be. If you do get something from ebay, check the feedback on the seller and be careful

I'll find room for it!!!! I just make the shaderoom bigger, what is another 12 feet??? Oh, I did that already!!!!
You probably bought a baby-plant, I suppose? That way they can cheat since small-sized plants will not bloom in the nearest future... If you buy a plant that is in bloom or in spike, then it's pretty obvious that you'll get what you want.

I would be very wary about purchasing orchids from ebaby. I've bought several in the past and most were small; nowhere near bs as advertised and some even had viruses. I agree with wally.....be very careful.
I'm having my first order from ebay come in from royal orchids. I'm having a flask of phal. bellina come. It should be here by the end of the week. I will post again when the shipment comes in
I've actually bought several orchids via ebay. The plants were all true to description, but they are young. The Oncds, dens, phrags, encys, grams, angras all look like what they should. However none have bloomed yet except for my phal. pulcherrima which according to Botanica "Orchids" is true to form. So far I've been pleased. I'll wait until a few more bloom to say anything else .

I've purchased most of my orchids from Ebay as there aren't very many places around me that sell things other than phals and onc's. I have had very good luck with it, but I agree with what has been previously stated. Read the feedback carefully, and if you have any question, no matter how insignificant you might think - be sure to ask the seller. They should have no problem answering you regarding any concerns you have prior to the purchase.
