Help with high temp growing - Orchid Board

Hi, I tried posting this earlier and it never showed up, so I'll try again.
I've decided to move my small collection out doors for the summer months and am planning on moving them in doors for the winter.
I live in Sacramento Ca. where the summers are quite hot
(85-100degrees) and I've put the collection in the patio which is shaded most of the day (800-100fc). The collection currently consists of mostly Phals and so far they seem to be doing OK.
My question is... What other types of orchids might do well in my environment?

High temp with moderate but not deep shade.
All help and suggestions will be much appreciated.

Catasetineae do well in hot weather, as well as some cattleyas and Epidendrums... Also some Paphs, and of course Vandas..

i think that kavanaru is correct. i also think some laelias like hot weather too

I think light levels are the biggest concern. Cats might grow fine, but spindly. Laelias might like hot, but low light along with hot would not be good - they would become leggy and never bloom. With that amount of light I would try Jewell orchids, mottled-leaf Paphs, Phals (of course), there might be a few Angraecums that might do OK. Basically, I would stick with what you have and know does well - Phals. Just my 2 cents.

I'm north of you (90mi) hotter and dryer. Mine were on my north facing patio (early morning sun then full shade but fairly bright sky). They didn't seem to mind the heat too much (I brought them in if too much over 100) but keeping the humidity up was a bigger issue. I used a freestanding mister in the afternoon with a small fan. I have phals, dendrobiums and a beallara. Everyone seemed happy.

My thread related my treatment last summer. My phals all bloomed this spring. My dendrobium (aggregatum) bloomed also although I'm not sure it had all the light it would like. I got tired of shuffling plants last year so I set up a small greenhouse this summer and so far everyone seems happy. I have a spike coming on the beallara.
