Hey again,

The Zygo is doing well, she's got three 4 new keiki about 8 inches long.

My question is about removing old growth. The oldest of bulbs has flowered quite a while ago and is now turning yellow and brown. I assume this is natural although just double checking.

Thanks again!

I am in Canada, have 3 zygo’s that have leaves that are black spotted like they have measles when I got them 2 years ago. Now, funny enough, the new growths are all clean. Mine grow outside from may till sep/oct, temps 10-14C at night, daytime 20-30C. I give them rain water, they are in slotted holed plastic pots, with a diluted 15/5/5 orchid fertilizer every other week. They don’t grow like weeds, but slow, and produce sturdy growths in summer season and flowers in the late fall. They are in bright shade at all times.
They are in a cool basement under lights in the winter.
So, it seems to me they’re really adaptable, going by the posts, from the keys, cali, up to Canada and all being successful.

Oh, didn’t see your last post, sorry. I have not yet lost any bulbs so can’t help.
