Psychopsis orchid - new growth or flower spike?
Default Psychopsis orchid - new growth or flower spike?

I have had this psychopsis orchid for many years and have yet to get it to flower. I noticed multiple new growths coming off of it the last few weeks and was hoping that someone with a bit more experience successfully flowering these guys could tell me if these are flower spikes, new leaves, or if it is to early to tell.

Probably too early to tell for sure. The new root growth looks great, an indicator that you'll probably get a new growth, but if there's more than one, you could also get a spike too. Patience...

That new root growth looks great! I never had one spike up until it had at least four or five pbulbs and it looks like you're set for one to start anytime. Looks like you've got a new pbulb starting, which is also promising.
