Default Orchid Nursery Inventory

Hello All,
Can anyone tell me what time of year the online orchid vendors begin offering more stock? My recollection was that it is sometime in spring but I'm still very new to the ebbs and flows of availability.

Thanks!

Best to get on the email lists of your favorite nurseries. Then you'll get notified of new releases.

Looking at my orders from last year, Sunset Valley did the first release Feb 13, 2023 and other vendors seemed to ramp up in March.

So soon! (This is me invoking self control )

Why don't you visit the Amherst & New Hampshire orchid shows (next weekend and the week after)?

Can someone share what the better nurseries might be? That will ship? I've been getting my orchids from Seattle Orchids.

Look through the Vendor Feedback forum here, accessible from the left yellow menu.

There is praise, and some justified criticism, for many nurseries here on the Orchid Board.

You also can find listings of nurseries with links to their web sites here:

Alphabetically: Orchidmall.com
By State: Orchidwire.com

Finally, some vendors have either no web site, or no online shop, but instead send out broadcast emails with new arrivals (OrchidPhile in CT, and myself). You just have to ask to be added to their mailing list.
