You do not need to match the low temps in the region of origin.

Paph fairrieanum (and insigne, and spicerianum, etc.) do fine in a greenhouse with thermostat set at 55F, and ventilation kicking in around 80F. During the summer, we have days ranging up to 95-100F, it does not kill them though it might stress them a little during prolonged heat waves.

Thanks Kim. I'd heard the advice against dividing before. Thanks for confirming that. I have three seedlings in a compot. Once they get a bit larger they will go in their own pots. At least one will be in SH. If I am successful the other two may be looking for new homes.
