Tolumnia growth- cut plastic basket?

Hello!

I have this Tolumnia Jariak Firm 'Big Bang' that has done well for me over winter in my little garage greenhouse. It had 2 spikes and this looks like the last of the sequential blooms.

It has new growths that are at the inner margin of the plastic net pot. Should I try to cut away some of the plastic to let it continue to grow or will it just climb up and over it?

Vigorous plant and lovely flower. The plant doesn't seem to have had any problem escaping from the basket. You could clip the basket away from the growths, but I don't think it is necessary. I would just drop the whole thing into a larger basket (or leave it in that terracotta pot, depending on whether you want to put it on a bench or hang it) and let it continue on its merry way.

Thanks! Yes, I know the roots are way beyond the confines of the basket now . You're right, I was talking about the bases of the new growths that are a little deeper in there. I guess they will just grow up an over the rim? I am planning to leave it in this terracotta pot since it is doing well.

If those "next to the edge" growths don't escape the next round of growths will. Basically, you have a mounted plant...just the way Tolumnias like to be.
