Default Limp pliable phal leaves

I have some very limp, bendable phal leaves. I think the cause is from underwatering and lack of roots. For the past week, I’ve taken my phals out of the potting mix and I’m doing a semi soak in water.
I’m not sure if I should repot my phals or continue to grow them in water.
70-75degree room with low humidity. I’m using a small humidifier.
What kind of potting mix should I get? I was doing just bark chips. I tend to buy my mix at repotme

Do you have some photos of the plants/roots? As you say the cause of limp leaves is usually underwatering or not enough roots, but it's important to know which it is in order to give you specific advice.

If it's underwatered, best course of action is repot it (bark chips are fine) and water more often.
If it's root rot (and assuming there are still a couple functional roots), you can also repot it, water well, and then invert a clear plastic bag over the plant to trap humidity.
