Two spikes, only one blooming? Female
Default Two spikes, only one blooming?

I am very glad to have found orchid people and have one more question.

Yesterday I went to the store and saw this beauty. It was priced as a one spike Phal and it got me with it's beautiful color.

When I took a look at the roots there was a surprise - aditional spike? As you can see it is not in bloom and is very crooked.

Do you think it was growing at the same time but they missed it and did not stake it? Or did it grow parallel to blooming? Is this even possible?

In any event, at 7 euros (7,7$) it was a steal .
