Need help with repotting a newly acquired Cattleya
Default Need help with repotting a newly acquired Cattleya

Hello,
I bought a Cattleya online from Florida. It came in soggy sphagnum moss with two third of the rooting system blackened that can be easily pulled out.
Should I repot it back in sphagnum moss ? or could I repot in my preferred growing medium barks and perlite)?

I thought cattleyas preferred not sitting in soggy medium !

Thank you,

If it's in that bad of shape, go ahead and repot. Yes, I'd repot in your preferred bark medium for sure. You're correct, Catts don't like sitting in a soggy mix.
