Most humidifiers state a specification of the area of coverage they are good for. What is the rating of the unit you are considering? Is it an evaporative or an ultrasonic unit? I find ultrasonic units to be more quite.

It says it is an evaporative type with a max capacity of about 6 liters/day. While that might be sufficient, it all depends upon how well sealed the room is.

Keep in mind that nature hates a gradient, so it will attempt to spread the humidity as broadly as it can.

If your humidity is starting out at a lower but still reasonable level (around 25-40%) then the humidifier will probably be fine so long as the room is decently sealed, like Ray suggested. If you’re fighting extremely low humidity (<20% for months) you may not be able to get the humidity as high as you’d like, but any increase will be helpful. More so for your own health and comfort, but the plants will also benefit to some extent.

The UV-C is nice but make sure to still clean it regularly. All kinds of funk can grow in a humidifier and it’s not good to be breathing in that stuff. I would think it being an evaporative model would minimize the amount of funk being added to the air but it’s still important to clean it.

Other good ways to raise humidity are having more mammals in the room (children, cats & dogs), aquariums and large leafy house plants that require a lot of water.
