Default Best practices for quarantining orchids in small space

I have a 450 square foot studio, so have been pretty careful about where I orchids and know I'm rolling the dice. However, I'm seeing some perfectly nice phals on Craigslist etc that are good prices. Seattle's pretty temperate this time of year, so considering quarantining them outside, in a shady spot, for several days and good inspections. Seems like a decent balance of "protect what you have" and "carpe diem cheap plants" given my space limitations. Interested in what others have done to quarantine in small spaces and/or if this is a terrible idea.

If you’re getting them from private sellers, not commercial nurseries, do a solid once over before you buy it (still good practice when buying in-person from nurseries). If it looks good, once you get it home I’d unpot and check the roots for pests in addition to the foliage. A thorough rinse with a hose and maybe a treatment with a soap-based pesticide or soapy water spray would round out my initial intake procedure, repot into your medium of choice, then observe closely for a week or two.

I don’t usually do a true quarantine, plants are everywhere in my house and outside is too unpredictable. I inspect new plants daily for a long while and prevent them from touching their neighbors until I’m satisfied they’re pest-free. Sometimes I’ll put them on the kitchen counter for a week all by themselves, but that’s the best I can do.

Thanks for tips. These were planted in a variety of dirt and spaghum but with extremely vigorous root systems. Plus, I got 2 ceramic pots included.

Wow. Nice score! Did the seller give you any idea what the flowers will look like?

Theoretically, one is white, one is pink or purple, and one is mystery! The leaves are 8-10" across. So I'm excited to see what happens!
