Thanks very much! I will just keep an eye on it and make sure I water it when it gets dry or let mother nature take care of it since we are starting to get into the every day showers now.

I am in a really dry area, and I don't have a bunch of catts right now, but I have a normal BLC and a Tigrina juvenile. Both get watered every day. High light. Both are doing great, new spikes. If I have learned anything after killing dozens of orchids including catts, it is that they require more water and more light than I can rationalize. In fact all my orchids get daily watering.

Thanks for the tips! I will definitely check this guy every day to see if it is dry and water if needed. At the moment, mother nature is taking care of it for me.

I think keeping it hydrated will be no problem. Optimist and I have to think about watering a lot...I can't speak for Optimist's location in New Mexico, but the last rain I was was a couple of months ago, and don't expect to see any more until October or November. So watering has to be a lot more planned, a different mindset.
