Here is a really good scientific paper on this matter- they isolated beneficial bacteria from Cattleya walkeriana in the wild and used the beneficial strains to improve acclimatization of seedlings.

AUXIN-PRODUCING BACTERIA ISOLATED FROM THE
ROOTS OF Cattleya walkeriana , AN ENDANGERED
BRAZILIAN ORCHID, AND THEIR ROLE IN
ACCLIMATIZATION

Inocucor, which Ray sells was used to help the survival rates of a rare/endangered Paphiopedilum if I remember correctly as well.

Good probiotics:
Tribus
Inocucor
Quantum
EM-1

If you can't find those in Europe, I use products from this company: Horticulture - The Nutrient Company
I'm not sure their shop reopened post Brexit/Covid, but they sell through Amazon.

Good recommendation, Mr. FN.

They sell one formula that is bacteria-based and another that is mycorrhizal fungi-based. I honestly don’t know which I’d recommend, as both are beneficial. It may not wise to use both at once, as they can compete and predate each other. I don’t know if those specific species do, but the fact that they are not combined in a single products suggests being wary.

How did I miss that... Thanks for the heads up Ray, I'll send a message to the gentlemen behind this brand.
Perhaps they have insightful comments to offer.

My big mistake...buying orchids in autumn or too late in the spring. They will need re-potted in my environment but there is a optimal time to do that....

I agree with the other stuff mentioned. It is best to do the research and match the infliction with the right cure. With more and more insect resistance, the pesticides recommended do change and one needs to keep up with the studies.
