Sounds to me like the Peristeria issue will resolve itself since they're going to ship the correct plant and take the smaller one (which has the problem) back anyway. The plant was likely not currently infested, but the damage doesn't go away after treatment. At any rate, it is going back anyhow.

They did get back to me regarding the spots and confirmed it was spider mite damage they had on their plants awhile back. Roberta is correct though, the problem was resolved and they resumed sending those plants (which I received). They also are sending me the correct plant that I paid for and have already arranged for return FedEx shipping. I'm set to receive the replacement this Friday. Although I was a little let down to see the damage on the leaves and that I was sent the wrong plant, I was impressed with how they rectified it. Everyone I talked to was prompt and courteous.

I bought a heat mat today specifically for the Phal Bellina that will be here tomorrow. For those that have this orchid, do you use a heat mat? If so, do you place it directly on top or put the orchid on a riser above it? I know they like to have a little bit warmer temperatures; but I'm not able to accommodate the temperatures needed without a heating mat. Thanks for any help

ETA, It looks like they sent me the wrong peristeria too. I ordered a 4-6 bulb and unless I'm really bad at counting, lol ... I could swear there are only two.
On one occasion Orchids Limited sent me the wrong size Neofinetia falcata, and on anther they sent me someone else's plant. They don't seem to have their act together there, but at least they will set things right if you request it.

They're wrong. That's edema (as said earlier by ES), likely due to improper watering. Should be fine in your collection.
